2019 NISSAN FRONTIER VS 2019 FORD RANGER

The 2019 Nissan Frontier is the perfect mid-sized pickup truck to help you with all of your daily tasks. The rugged exterior and smooth handling make it a great vehicle to take on an off-road adventure, and the comfortable, yet spacious, interior help drivers feel more comfortable during long road trips.

Although the Frontier has not received many changes this year, this truck is still one of the more impressive pickups in its class. In order to give you a better idea of just how this truck is able to stack up against the competition, we have compared it to another impressive pickup truck: The 2019 Ford Ranger.

Work-Friendly Interior

If you need to haul large cargo inside of the truck, the Frontier has you covered. The 60/40 split flip-up rear bench seats allow you to easily create a large, flat space in the rear of the cab, or you can use the storage container that is positioned under the rear seat to prevent small objects from rolling around on the floorboard of the truck.

The Frontier has also done away with the B-pillars between the doors. So, when you open the front and back door at the same time, it creates a large opening that allows you to easily put your extra-wide cargo in the truck.

The Ford Ranger's front and the rear door does not open in a way that allows you to create a large opening.

Rugged Handling

The Frontier offers several features that give the car better handling and the driver more control so that the truck can be taken on the most treacherous paths. The Active Brake Limited Slip system can detect when the truck's tires are starting to lose traction and then automatically applies the brakes so that the driver is able to regain control of the vehicle. Other features, such as the off-road performance shock, electronic locking rear differential, and Hill Start Assist and Hill Decent Control work together to help the truck tackle any road condition that it comes across.

Power and Towing Capabilities

The /frontier comes equipped with a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The engine is capable of producing an impressive 152 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. The available 4.0-litre 24-valve V6 engine can produce 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque which allows it to tow up to 3,043 kg (6,70 lbs).
