Nissan is introducing a Rock Creek edition to its new Pathfinder lineup for 2023 in response to the current trend for SUVs, emphasizing the outdoors and off-road driving. Its interior, where the clothing has a distinct personality, has specific design elements like its exterior. Exterior
Naturally, a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek edition wouldn’t be one without modified exterior styling, and that’s probably a big part of what will draw in potential buyers. A revised grille that is now all black, reinforced bumpers with a skid plate at the bottom and prominent wheel arches complete the design.
All-terrain tires are mounted on 18-inch Beadlock wheels for an authentic off-road look. The rear view shows some differences from the standard model, including a new bumper design with a tow hook. And let’s not forget the “Rock Creek” badges on the tailgate and front doors.
Interior
The interior features an attractive combination of black leather and cloth seat covers with Rock Creek stitching. The dashboard, door panels and seats all have contrasting orange stitching, and the Rock Creek orange badge is displayed on the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels.
Technology
The standard surround-view camera system on the Rock Creek has a new off-road display. A split view from the front-facing camera and one over the front wheels is displayed on one screen of the Standard Intelligent Around-View Monitor with Off-Road Mode, while the full 360-degree view is shown on the other.
The Rock Creek includes a 9-inch touchscreen as standard equipment, along with navigation, a SiriusXM radio, a wireless smartphone charger, wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The 12-inch widescreen on the Pathfinder has fully adjustable digital gauges. A Head-Up Display is another comfort and safety feature included in the Pathfinder Rock Creek.
Security
ProPILOT Assist, an optional feature, can help keep you centred in your lane by automatically adjusting your speed to match the pace of traffic when a button is pressed. It reads the road ahead using mapping technology and can even change your set speed in response to traffic signs. By identifying road signs as you go, available traffic sign recognition aids in keeping you moving at a reasonable pace. By alerting you if it notices a vehicle hiding in your blind spots, the Pathfinder Rock Creek with Blind Spot Warning helps to keep you aware of it.
The Intelligent Emergency Braking system will notify you if you need to slow down by monitoring your speed and the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you. If a cyclist or pedestrian crosses your path, the systemcan also apply the brakes to help prevent a frontal collision or limit the severity of an impact.
