A Top Performer

As expected, the Kicks gets excellent fuel economy in all settings. Highway numbers come in at 6.6 L/100km and 7.7 L/100km in the city. Nissan offers all 2020 Kicks models with a 122-HP, 1.6-Litre, DOHC 16-Valve 4-cylinder engine. The thrifty I-4 uses a dual-injector system and continuously variable valve timing on both intake and exhaust valves. All models feature the same XTronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) as well as front-wheel drivetrains. The new Kicks employs independent strut front suspension, torsion beam rear suspension, a front stabilizer bar, and electric power-steering for ride control. All models come with intelligent auto headlights and power side mirrors. SV and SR trims add heated side mirrors, roof rails, and body-coloured outside door handles.

A wealth of traditional and advanced driver-assist technologies combined with the Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite of safety features, provide exceptional safety for the new Kicks. Standard driver-assist technologies include Automatic Emergency Braking with rear pedestrian detection, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
