2020 Nissan Sentra | Price, Features and Performance

Exceptional fuel economy, sport styling, and legendary Nissan reliability make the new Nissan Sentra one of the most popular small sedans on the market today. With just two trims - the S, which starts at $16,698, and the SV at $21,058 - the new Sentra is both economical to buy, as well as inexpensive to own.

Standard or available interior comforts found on the 2020 Sentra include heated front seats. Dual-zone automatic temperature control (with an in-cabin microfilter and rear vents), and premium cloth upholstery. Power windows with driver's one-touch auto-up/down, cruise control with illuminated steering-wheel-mounted controls, and variable intermittent windshield wipers also come at no extra charge on every new Nissan Sentra. Technology highlights include Nissan Voice Recognition for audio and navigation, Fine Vision electroluminescent gauges, and Nissan Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition (SV models). Sun visors with vanity mirrors and extensions, overhead LED map lights, and a centre console with adjustable cup holders round out a few more of the Sentra's notable interior amenities.

Every new Sentra comes with a premium NissanConnect Infotainment system. The NissanConnect system features a four-speaker AM/FM radio, a 127-mm colour touchscreen interface, and speed-sensitive volume control. Built-in Bluetooth provides seamless connectivity for music streaming, hands-free calling, and Siri Eyes Free. SV trims add Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, two more speakers, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. The NissanConnect infotainment system also comes with an auxiliary audio input jack, a USB port, and illuminated steering-wheel-mounted audio controls.

Economical With Power to Spare

Both Sentra models come equipped with an MRA8DE 1.8-litre DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine that differs somewhat between the two trims. S model plants put out 130-HP and 128 lb-ft of torque @ 3,600 rpm. SV equipped engines add Nissan's Direct Ignition System, an electronic drive-by-wire throttle, and put out 124-horsepower. Base S models come with a six-speed manual transmission but, buyers have the option to add Nissan's Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (the Xtronic CVT comes standard on SV models). Every new Sentra comes with front-wheel drive. MacPherson strut front suspension, torsion beam rear suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars, and vehicle-speed-sensitive electric power steering deliver exceptional ride quality on the new Sentra. As promised, the Sentra offers excellent fuel economy at 8.8/6.6 for the manual transmission and 8.1/6.3 for the CVT. All numbers are highway/city (L/100 Km).

Loaded With Standard Safety features

Standard safety features on this year's Sentra include child-safety rear door locks, Zone Body construction with front and rear crumple zones, and Vehicle Dynamic Control with Traction Control. The Nissan Advanced Airbag System includes dual-stage supplemental driver and front passenger airbags, supplemental front airbags, and driver and front-passenger seat-mounted side-impact supplemental airbags. The Sentra's Tire Pressure Monitoring System (SV trims) features an Easy-Fill Tire Alert system that takes the guesswork out of filling the Sentra's tires.
