The Rogue, Nissan's best-selling vehicle, received a major redesign for the 2021 model year, which brings it up to the level of its competitors and makes it even more attractive to buyers.
Intro
The 2021 Nissan Rogue is quality through and through, so much so that it was named the Best Mid-Size Utility Vehicle in Canada by the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC).
2021 kicks off a new generation for Nissan's best-selling vehicle. The 2021 Nissan Rogue features a whole new design that speaks to its staying power in a crowded compact SUV class. It is a long-lasting, well-equipped vehicle that can perform against its competitors in all areas. With its new design, the 2021 Nissan Rogue is a glimpse into the future.
Features
The 2021 Nissan Rogue comes loaded with standard features, including its 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine that was upgraded for 2021 to produce 181 horsepower and deliver 8.1 L/100km combined fuel economy. Front-wheel drive (FWD) comes standard on the Rogue, but all-wheel drive (AWD) is an option on all models.
For entertainment, every model of the 2021 Rogue is built with the NissanConnect infotainment system, which is controlled by a standard 8-inch touchscreen. Standard on all models is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and available upgrades include a 9-inch touchscreen, in-dash navigation, Bose stereo system, and 10.8-inch head-up display.
As a leader in safety, Nissan provides its full suite of Nissan Safety Shield 360 driver-assist technologies on its Rogue models, including: automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear intelligent emergency braking, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, and high beam assist.
Interior
The 2021 Nissan Rogue's new design carries into its interior with a new bi-level dashboard, which allows drivers to reach all controls easily. While the redesign provided more space to the passenger compartment, it did mean the loss of some cargo capacity behind the second row of seats. However, the Rogue still offers great space for its class, including 2,985 litres of passenger volume, 1,033 litres of cargo volume behind the second row, and 2,098 litres of cargo volume with the second row folded down.
Exterior
The visual refresh of the 2021 Rogue is incredibly appealing. Nissan designed the Rogue with a boxier style and wider stance, providing it with a more powerful appearance as it drives through the streets in Calgary. This broader look and feel imparts a more imposing image.
Pricing
The 2021 Nissan Rogue is an affordable compact SUV that offers the latest and greatest features at a competitive price. Starting at $28,498, every model of the Rogue includes a NissanConnect multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Nissan Safety Shield 360, heated seats, heated steering wheel, and heated outside mirrors with LED turn signal indicators.
