2021 Nissan Rogue vs 2021 Mazda CX-5

The 2021 Nissan Rogue is one of the most sought-after SUVs on the market. It comes equipped with a wide range of high-tech equipment that helps to make it one of the safest and most convenient vehicles in its class. This year, the Rogue has received several updates to make it even more impressive. To illustrate just how stunning this vehicle truly is, we have decided to compare it to another highly sought-after vehicle in its class. Here is a look at the 2021 Nissan Rogue vs the 2021 Mazda CX-5.

What's New for 2021?

Both of these vehicles have received a substantial amount of upgrades this year. Here is a closer look at how exactly each vehicle has changed from last year's model.

Nissan Rogue

This year, the Rogue is entering a new generation. This means that the Rogue has been completely redesigned from the ground up. It features a new, bolder-looking exterior design that features a sleek and sculpted body that has sharper edges and a more athletic appearance. There are also newly redesigned LED headlights and LED taillights that feature a stylish wraparound design.

Under the hood, the Rogue comes equipped with the theme 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that its predecessor offered. However, it has been slightly tweaked to deliver 181 horsepower, which is a slight power boost from last year.

Mazda Cx-5

This year the 2021 Mazda CX-5 did not receive a complete makeover, but it did get a few new upgrades. For starters, the front grille has been redesigned to feature a stunning new 3-dimensional design. It is flanked by two reshaped LED headlights.  Like the Rogue, the CX-5 also comes with the same engine as last year. However, it has added a 4WD system to every model.

Interior Comfort

Both of these vehicles have a luxurious interior that can seat up to five occupants. The CX-5 offers a few high-end interior features including leather seating and available heated seats.

The Rogue's newly redesigned interior, however, is more luxurious and more spacious than the CX-5's interior. The Rogue features large, comfortable seats that can be adorned in a wide range of premium materials including quilted leather. The interior also offers more rear legroom than its competitor's cabin offers. In the Rogue, the large rear cargo area is able to fit all of your luggage and other cargo, and it can be extended by folding down the rear seats. If you need a little help keeping your items organized, the Rogue also comes with an available Divide-N-Hide system that features a flexible shelving system and allows you to customize your rear storage space.

Safety Features

The Rogue offers more standard safety features than the CX-5. The Rogue's standard Safety Shield 360 gives you an added peace of mind by providing a suite of driver-assist features such as rear automatic braking, blind-spot warning, intelligent emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, high-beam assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.
