What's New in the 2021 Nissan Rogue

As the year comes to an end, you may be considering a new vehicle. When it comes time to finding the ideal update for your ride, you will be impressed by the reliable and durable 2021 Nissan Rogue. Its attractive styling draws attention too. From the muscular grille and sleek body, you'll be thrilled to take this SUV as your own. With a starting price of $28,498, it is affordable and doable for many.

You may be wondering what upgrades and changes were made from last year. Let's take a look at what is involved.

Engine and Performance

Engine and Performance

Starting with the engine, both the 2020 and 2021 Nissan Rogue have similar powertrains but the horsepower is different. The naturally aspirated 2.5 L 4-cylinder engine bring 181 hp and 181 torque in the 2021 version, whereas the 2020 version delivered 170 hp with 175 lb.-ft. of torque.

Another difference is the fuel economy. The 2021 Nissan Rogue will get an estimated 27 miles per gallon in the city and 35 miles per gallon on the highway. By comparison, the 2020 Rogue gives you 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

Some things remain the same, and you will love these added perks, such as the available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive and driving modes, which are as follows:

  • Eco mode (for general driving)
  • Off-road mode (use for off-roading adventures)
  • Snow mode (use for snowy, icy conditions)

Interior

Interior

Moving to the interior, you will notice the 2021 Nissan Rogue does give people a bit more space, which is often a huge issue for many people. The Nissan Rogue has made 39.3 cubic-feet of cargo volume available behind the rear seat of both the 2021 and 2020 Rogue models. Yet, if you fold down the rear seat in the 2021 version, you get a full 74.1 cubic-feet, whereas in the  2020 Rogue, folding down the seat gives you just 70 cubic-feet.

You'll also notice the new design changes on the Platinum trim, which makes the ride more luxurious. There are quilted and heated (front and rear) semi-aniline leather seats, a Bose sound system, and ambient lighting.

Let your backseat passengers enjoy the comfort of the ride with wider rear entry doors and Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control.
In addition, the interior dashboard boasts a standard 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that integrates nicely with all smartphone devices using

Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For the higher trim levels, you can expect features, such as:

  • 9-inch touchscreen vs. 8-inch
  • Navigation system
  • 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster
  • 10.8-inch heads-up display monitor that projects information for you as you drive

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Blind Spot Monitoring

  • Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
