Your Spare Tire Type Determines What Happens After Changing

You want to know the difference between the types of spare tires so that you will be better prepared for your specific vehicle.

If you have a full-size spare tire, you will want to make sure that the tire is fully inflated when it’s needed. There’s nothing worse than finding out that the spare tire is flat too! A compact spare tire will typically be inflated to levels of 60 pounds of pressure per square inch (PSI). Therefore, it’s less likely to be deflated when needed. However, the smaller tire does come with a disadvantage. You will need to change the compact spare tire much sooner with a full-size tire.

Please be sure to keep Royal Oak Nissan in mind when you need your tires replaced or inspected for quality. We have skilled and trained technicians at our Calgary location that will gladly be of assistance. Stay safe while driving!
