Standard New Nissan Warranty - Comprehensive and Fair
The standard warranty on new Nissan vehicles is comprehensive and fair which will make you feel good about your choice. Nissan was the first company in Canada to offer an Information Centre and Roadside Assistance across the full model lineup.
The warranty period begins on the date the vehicle is delivered to the original purchaser other than a Canadian Nissan dealer or the date it is put into service, whichever is earlier. Always go over the fine print with your salesperson to ensure you fully understand what is covered.
Basic Warranty
Basic coverage is good for 3 years/60,000kms. This warranty covers any repairs needed to correct defects in material or workmanship of all original parts and components of each new Nissan vehicle supplied by Nissan except for the exclusions or items listed elsewhere under the caption "Limitations" and "What is Not Covered".
Powertrain Warranty
The Powertrain is covered for 5 years/100,000kms. With this your cylinder heads and block and all internal parts, rocker covers oil pan, valve train and front cover, timing chain and tensioner, oil pump, water pump, and fuel pump, fuel injectors, intake and exhaust manifolds, supercharger, flywheel, seals and gaskets are covered. Also your case and all internal parts, torque converter and converter housing, automatic transmission control module, transfer case and all internal parts, seals and gaskets, clutch cover and housing and electronic transmission controls will be replaced and or fixed.
Corrosion Warranty
Corrosion Surface and Corrosion Perforation warranties are in effect for 3 years/60,000kms and 5 years/unlimited kms. The Corrosion Surface protects you from the surface corrosion that can occur on vehicles, especially ones driven in salty conditions in winter. Surface corrosion is the corrosion affecting any readily visible surface area of any component of the vehicle body, but not including the vehicle underbody. Corrosion Perforation covers you for that rust that eats its way through, from the inner surface to the outer surface, resulting in a hole.
Nissan Extended Warranty
Ensure that you are given a full copy of the Nissan Warranty coverage and limitations. Take a look at it to make sure you are happy with your coverage and so that there are no surprises down the road when you thought you were covered. There are many extended warranty options for you to choose from which compliment the factory warranty program.
